Petra Terzieva
Petra Terzieva is a multidisciplinary artist based between New York and Madrid, working across film, music, and visual art. Her formative years in London helped shape the international perspective she brings to her work.
Before pursuing acting professionally, Petra established herself as a fine artist and entrepreneur through PetrARTE. She likes to think that her paintings are happy because they live in beautiful homes. Some reside beneath the Andalusian sun; others have found their way to a family office in Mayfair, a princess’s home in Saudi Arabia, and collections across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain. A few even made it to New York before she did.
More paintings are waiting to be brought to life—and, if film and acting leave her the time, they shall.
Petra is currently training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, bringing the same emotional depth, discipline, and creative instinct that have defined her visual work to her performances on screen.
For Petra, acting is not a departure from her artistic path, but an expansion of it. Across every medium, she seeks to create work that is emotionally honest, visually compelling, and capable of meaningful impact. A passionate advocate for animals and the natural world, she hopes to use her voice to promote compassion, kindness, and positive change. She believes the highest purpose of storytelling is to awaken empathy, inspire kindness, and leave the world better than it found it.

The Work

Acting
Currently training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Petra is drawn to thrillers, romantic dramas, and action films. She approaches each role with emotional curiosity, physical discipline, and a desire to uncover the contradictions that make a character human.

Fine Art
Through PetrARTE, Petra creates contemporary oil paintings that combine beauty, symbolism, emotion, and a touch of wit. Her work has found its way into private and corporate collections across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

Music
Petra writes and records original music, exploring the places where language, sound, and emotion meet. For her, music is another form of storytelling—one that can express what cannot always be captured through images or words alone.

My Italian Greyhound, constant companion, and occasional muse.

The sea to still my mind; the mountains to awaken it. Happiest beneath the sun or flying down a ski slope.

Fragments, lyrics, reflections, and stories—usually beginning with a sentence I cannot stop thinking about.
04 — MOVEMENT
Dancing, strength training, tennis, horse riding, long walks, and the discipline of feeling at home in my body.
05 — MUSIC
Writing, recording, and searching for the sound that captures a feeling words cannot.
06 — ANIMALS & PHILOSOPHY
A lifelong love of animals and a fascination with philosophy—particularly questions of consciousness, compassion, and how we ought to live.
